Grrl Power #1504 – Let’s meet our contestants
It is a little rich for Sydney to be complaining about insipidity. Though I think that Gail and Bluce’s banter might quality more as banality. It’s the kind of pablum you’d hear in the back and forth during a Thanksgiving day parade. It’s splitting hairs. Sydney just really dislikes this particular brand of low effort, forced enthusiasm, where you can see the announcers die a little inside as they lob out each network approved humor nugget.
I had considered making Centurus a finalist, but the idea of drawing a hundred meter long flying AC-13o centipede with six-hundred guns was just not realistic. If I could have built it in Blender… after learning how to use Blender… then yeah, that would have been cool. But it’s honestly outside of my skillset. Or really, outside of my allotted production schedule. It would take me a very long time to draw a close-up panel with, let’s say 6 miniguns, cannons, and whatever the medium sized guns are, all connected to a mecha bug thing. I’d like to think it’d take most people a long time to draw that, but some artists really excel at fiddly, technical drawings. I assume those people are bad at drawing mountains, or dogs, or something else to balance things out.
I have to say, I would have liked to see what that anthro kangaroo boxer could do that carried him all the way to the semi-finals. I mean, imagine that he had to fight someone like Mt. Atrocitous or that Kill-7 mecha. But that’s for a different timeline.
The burning question I know you all have is, are Atheons all demi-gods? Well, first you have to define lower-case-g “god,” and that’s more complex than it seems at first glance. Dabbler will probably have a discussion about that with Sydney at some point. She claims to have killed “gods” plural. She counts one dude that was mid-ascension, I think she mentioned that in comic early on? But she still counts it. So yes, by some definitions, Atheons are all demi-gods. Certainly by their own definition they are.
Oh, look who it is in the vote incentive. The NSFW version is finally up at Patreon. Plus a bonus pic.
I think she would get in trouble for doing this. She’d mess up the… floor of the waterfall? Is that what it’s called? The receiving pool? No, probably not that. Anyway, she’d churn things up and cause a ton of weird erosion.
Since you might be wondering, Niagara Falls is about 165 feet high, so Babezilla obviously doesn’t have to be full sized. I’d say she’s about 175-180 feet tall here?
Double res version will be posted over at Patreon. Feel free to contribute as much as you like.

Seeing as the only angels we’ve really seen were a friendly goober who was in line to become Parfait’s leash-holder and a woman who Xuriel claims was rude to her but did not properly translate, I am choosing to reserve judgment on the angels as a species for now.
Besides, didn’t we have a mini-arc with the wise lesson that you can find heroes and a-holes in any species? I seem to recall a cute teen succubus and an insult to spider-people demon huntress being involved…
We also met one who was a mercenary at the Twilight Council meeting.
Who was indeed kind of an ass.
Bluce is wearing a Predator outfit and I assume Gail is wearing a Red Sonya outfit.
Yeah, thanks. Wasn’t groking the predator costume. Red? How could I not? ;) Now back to Barbraella.
The pseudo-barbaric getup Bluce and Gail are wearing remind me of the writings of E.C. Tubb.
It frequently happened in his books that once-advanced societies, having grown decadent, embraced first such trappings and then actual barbarism in search of authentic, primal experiences.
And there was a secret society, whose top agents surgically had their ability to feel emotions removed, ready and willing to help such regression along. Barbarians are easier to manipulate…
Don’t forget the people into rape fantasy. I’ve met far too many of them, and most were women. Yechhh! They love that kind of thing.
What does this sentence mean? It seems like you just wrote it to kink shame
“Known only as Roseryan except all the other things she’s known by” *takes note*
Speaking of banality, let’s talk about the banality of anything declaring itself a ‘god’ in a science fiction universe. Oh, you have ‘magical’ powers that rival any other species? Bruh, you’re just one superweapon development away from being wiped out by a non-‘god’ species that’s tired of your shit. And your ‘magic’ is just a fundamental force that can be negated with proper science, so slow your roll and show some humbleness lest thee be humbled.
I kind of agree with Dabbler’s attitude here. Just because you’re better *at* something doesn’t make you better *than* someone. The ‘angels bad, demons good trope’ is kind of tiring tho.
So Centurus did not lose a single fight, but finally lost to the artist.
