Grrl Power #1360 – Fireballs 0; Dark Elf Wizards -1
In panel 1, I overdid it with the sparkles, so in case you can’t tell, Dabbler is Hammerspacing her telepathic serial share cable.
Speaking of brand new sentences, there are brand new sentences, and then there are brand new sentences. Unfortunately, I feel like Sydney’s last line on this page falls into the former category. In all the harem novels and webcomics and one-off comics on DeviantArt or HentaiFoundry, etc, involving succubi, and there’s a lot of them, I feel like there is a slight chance someone has said that before. Or at least a sentiment similar enough to count. It probably mentions wards or domains instead of firewalls, but still.
Weirdly, when I was drawing my unicorn character’s arguably not-entirely feminist exploits and posting them to a website that you might go to if you had an affinity for furry things, I had already worked out all this crazy anti-magic stuff and superpowers and a bunch of other things that may yet be revealed in the comic. That stuff just never really came up in the previous set of pictures involving him. It was extraneous to the milieu, you might say… if you weren’t quite using the word milieu correctly.
But I would guess that almost anyone who reads any sort of fiction has an encyclopedia of world building in their head involving their own characters. Or… maybe extended-universe fanfic where the Stargate malfunctions and drops Daniel Jackson off in the world of Horizon Zero Dawn alongside Shoto Todoroki of My Hero Acadamia, only they’re both My-Little-Pony-ified and they’re super gay for each other. That’s not even a brand new sentence, either. I’m just about sure someone’s written that, even if it’s in a college-ruled notebook alongside some very questionable art. I don’t mean questionable because of the subject matter, I mean why would they be regular MLPs in a world where every animal over 12 pounds is dead and replaced by robots? They would be Robot Ponies obviously, but no, that’s too hard to draw, so they’re regular ponies? How about a little consistency in your world building, Aubrey?!
Oh, speaking of “Hoss” doing the finger steeple, here’s a… jeeze, 17 year old picture of him. My wife has that tattooed on her shoulder.
Oh look! The vote incentive has another update!
Okay, its getting closer. The dragon slam page gave me a bit of time to work on it, and the clothed version is done… well, there no background, but instead of spending like an hour trying to render a nice looking couch for them to sit on, I put some work into the bonus comic that will accompany this incentive. I’m seriously hoping to have it all finished by the beginning of next month and I can move on to new ones that won’t take 3 months to finish.
The Patreon version is updated as well.
Double res version will be posted over at Patreon. Feel free to contribute as much as you like.
… if you made that horse dude an enemy soon, im gona me mad… expected but mad nevertheless
Maybe Hoss cheats, wore an anti anti-magic cockring (or a Prince Albert)
So Hoss is keeping magical secrets from his fuck buddy for as long as they know each other, with build in magic detecting abilities, which work on him.
This’s a very risky scheme, he must see her as a major flaw in his plans.
For which kind of plans would Dabbler’s knowledge be destructive?
Helping angels?
you know, you can use ports below 1024 with elevated privileges, so 69 is good?
Sooooo… is Deus just “Hoss” in human form?
… No
I am glad I am not the only person that believes Hoss looks so similar to Deus that they must be the same person.
Heh. I do believe the writer has created the equivalent to my Pardu species… totally invisible to direct mental abilities (but not to their effect on the environment around them.) Something like a fireball or cone of cold that has an area effect would likely affect him, but not a lightning bolt or magic missile, for instance. Meanwhile, direct telepathy or telekinesis wouldn’t even know he was there, even if the sender’s eyes could see him.
Of course, the other sapience on their world is purely telepathic and telekinetic… to where they can easily avoid any direct physical assault either through deflection or evasion–which, by being telekinetic AND winged, means the Sa’uk can fly and drop boulders (and other physical attacks) onto the Pardu.
Sorry… you just reminded me of my own creation which was once well-known on a now-defunct website.
I feel like there is a slight chance someone has said that before.
May have heard that line in one of the Valens Legacy books…
We knew from day 1 she’s great at asking the right questions and great at giving DMs headaches.
