Grrl Power #647 – No healthpack needed
Imagine that red section of Sydney’s shield is actually blinking red, if you will. It would be more visually interesting in the animated version of this story, but I didn’t want to spend page real estate with a bunch of panels trying to illustrate that.
Maxima looked at the crater and was like “Okay, that was a respectable opening move. And if I wasn’t worried about my team… BANG! ZOOM! Literally to the MOON!”
Of course, whatever these things’ interest in the orbs are, you’ve got to respect something you can fit in your pocket that can take a hit like that. You’ve got to figure they either want them, or want to make sure no one has them. Or it’s like a weird game of tag. They’re aliens, who knows how they think?
This page colored by Keith.
Double res version will be posted over at Patreon. $1 and up, but feel free to contribute as much as you like.
My thought about this situation is, worst case scenario, they get to test the spaceship theory for the orbs.
Hope the unknown is the Hyperdrive or its gonna be a loooong trip!
Hmm, well… even if the last orb is hyperdrive, it begs a huge question… which way is home? Also, what if this isn’t even the same universe? I mean, it’s not like a tear in reality has to lead to the same universe.
Good points all.
Plus nobody ever worries about what they will do with the pee!
I think they are going to need to improvise a decent hydroponics unit/ garden, and recycling system, or unlock a bunch more things on the green orb, if needing to survive in the Halomobile for an extended period.
Hollow out a large passing asteroid and set up an ecosystem that lives off the heat of her beams?
What if that kid who hacked reality to adjust Sydney’s bladder accidentally made that a permanent feature? Did it also affect her number two needs? Does her metabolism now burn every bit of food /drink? Or is it more like a Sim need level perm-set at zero?
Apparently, you weren’t paying any attention to what she said, or to the aftermath pages for that incident. She just set a one-time delay of about 10-ish minutes. Sydney’s need to pee came back just as she was being hit with the full implication of having basically died.
Its the homeworld of a known species and the being that attacked them seemed to recognize the orbs so it’s probably at least a parallel universe. It is weird that the distance is affecting Harem so you may have a point about it being more than just far away. (unless the wormhole itself is the source of the interference)
Dabbler will probably have a way to get them pointing the right way.
