I wrote another book!
Have a sequel! Wow, almost two years to the day since the first book. Well, still faster than some of the pros, eh? This book is a bit longer, at 210K words. The first book was right around 120K for comparison.
I wanted to do more with the cover, but I’m not going to hold the book hostage because I didn’t get a chance to hide Yxlyn on the cover yet. (Yeah, like 3 people noticed her on the other cover.)
Please let me know what you think! I’m amenable to all constructive feedback and abject praise. Feel free to leave comments here, but please be mindful of spoilers if you do. I’ll eventually release updated versions once typo feedback slows and I’m sure most everything’s been found.

Tamer: King of Dinosaurs is by Michael-Scott Earle. I’ve linked it several times in the past. The first book is free if you’ve never checked it out, but you don’t need to be familiar with Tamer to read my story. But it’s still free and it’s good… so… get it.
Obviously, “Tamer: King of Dinosaurs” is Michael-Scott Earle’s IP and my fan work is by a fan for fans, and certainly not intended to infringe in any way.
For those of you unsure of how to get a .mobi file onto your Kindle or Kindle app on your phone/ipad, the easiest way is to download it, then email it to your kindle email. You can find this on Amazon, under “Your Contents and Devices” you’ll see a list of books you’ve bought through Amazon. Click on “Devices” up at the top and you’ll see a list of kindles and phones etc that have the kindle app installed. Click on the box with the “…” next to each device and you’ll see an email address for it. Just email that address with the .mobi attachment.
Alternatively, I’m sure you could transfer it with dropbox or google drive or whatever poison you use.

Dave, if you want/need a co-writer I’m interested. I have a lot of experiencing writing fanfiction, (more than one million words) though it was all my little pony stuff. I’m best at fleshing out other people’s ideas rather than implementing my own, and excel at editing. Shoot me an email if you’re tempted and if not, no worries as they say.

When I found Enhancer, I didn’t really read it yet. Had it in my Kindle for a little bit, but when I finished Tamer 9. I was like, I need more Tamer, so I gave it a chance, and now I’m sitting here sad because I can’t binge-read more like with Tamer. I hate when I start a good book, and catch up before even more is out.
I loved each Enhancer book, and from earlier messages, I see you are very busy, but just know whenever Enhancer 3 comes out, I will be there ready to enjoy every word. Got me wanting to make my fanfic out of need.
Wanna meet up in a discord and collab with me? Maybe if we make something decent we can get some cliffnotes for part 3 out of Dave… lol

Tamer book 10 Kickstarter is up and running. As a promotion, he is doing some more of the girls Arrival stories in a novella format again.

Considering the likelihood of a need for fast access, I would expect a case like that to have a digit-wheel combination lock rather than keys. It might be a 4-digit lock rather than your typical 3 and each wheel might have 16 positions instead of 10, but keys can be lost or be taken off a corpse or unconscious person, while an access code can’t.
Of course a determined-enough would-be user might eventually resort to breaking the locks or the hinge. These cases aren’t exactly bank-vault tough, and they’re meant more to slow down a would-be thief (or curious child) long enough for the owner to intervene, as well as to protect the contents from being smashed up and scattered over the countryside in the event of, well, this.

I do ask, though, that you read up on “queue”/”que” vs. “cue”, and “diffuse” vs. “defuse”. Incorrect word choice bounced me out of warm fuzzy suspension of disbelief a couple of times. But those are my *only* quibbles – outstanding otherwise!

Also ‘Criteria’ is plural. If you only have one it’s a ‘Criterion’. Look up the Kelly Criterion for an example.
Binged it, and they were pretty good, although I thought the protagonist was a bit, “OP by proxy”, if you know what I mean. But it had me wondering what I’d do in a similar circumstance, which is one of the marks of a good fiction.
Kind of disappointed that #2 ended before the big fight/date.
Loved both books, I would pay for either of them, and definitely would pay for a third!
I really enjoyed both books, and they were part of the reason I decided to write some books of my own.

just read this again. I really like your story. I read the original author’s works based on your recommendation and I have to say that yours is just as good. Hope a third volume will appear in some form.

I am in the process of rereading the online comic “Flaky Pastry”, and on page 838 “Wholly Rattled”, in the second panel, I saw a Goblin Rattle that looks very much like Chicken Dinner.
Is there anyway we can donate or just get a kickstarter account going to get the next book. I would gladly pay to see that happen. Just an idea!!!

The subject of the video is how to re-create technology from scratch, which I think is relevant to the main quest of your protagonist.

Not sure wat scriptkid means but I hope it is back soon. Must be a real headache for DaveB.
scriptkid = low skill hacker, like a kid who uses a cheat program he bought online to Seem better at a game then he is. granted, i don’t know for certain the proficiency of the person who messed with the site so it’s just an ad hominem towards a punk. don’t even know for certain how much of the site was messed with by them, as i only read it from a twitter reply to the comment about the latest page that a few pages in the Comic archive were briefly turned into fake store pages.
Looks like there’s some trend for destroying comic sites right now? A few weeks ago, questionablecontent was down for a while.

Okay, so first off, the main Grrl Power site got hacked. Dunno how, but it was returning 403 errors when people tried to comment, and seemingly at random replaced comic pages with very “pulled from an incomplete template” generic shopping sites, and presumably all the links within were themselves hax. Some of those pages even claimed to be Grrl Power merch. Hopefully no one was foolish enough to click on any of those links.
I have the hosting company working on fixing it. The hack has been removed, and they updated… stuff. The thing is, the site was running Comic Easel, which I didn’t know how to update, and I’m not sure if the theme is even being updated anymore. That meant the site was also running a slightly out of date version of PHP, because that version of Comic Easel I guess relied on some depreciated functions that current PHP doesn’t use? I don’t know. Maybe that’s how the hack happened, but it also means that while the site is cleaned up and safe, the actual comic and all associated comments aren’t showing up. All the content still exists, but the current theme doesn’t know how to pull from the big database which says which pages go where and also something like 500,000 comments. Maybe that’s two separate databases. I don’t know how long it’ll take to fix, because while I designed the page back in the day, that was just doing some bits of art and a lot of CSS over top of the original ComicPress theme. I don’t know jack about PHP. The hosting site’s “fix my page” service hasn’t been especially zippy so far, but maybe that’s cause it was the weekend? We’ll see. I’ll keep you guys up to date here, and in the meantime, I’m going to post the pages for everyone to see, not just paid supporters.

Tom Bloom had the same issue with KSBD, and a good samaritan did some unspecified Github tweaks to fix things for him. Maybe Dave will see this, or someone who knows how to contact Dave can get him to contact Tom?

Just glad that it was able to get stopped and they are working on restoring everything
I like to think this is marketing to remind us of the Tamer: Enhancer series, as he gets ready to drop volume 3.
