Grrl Power #264 – The team receives some bad news -OR- Oh crap is right
Yuuup! Do me a favor and imagine the dramatic music rising as they talk, then the sting right after Dabbler says “…violence” Dunnnnnn! In fact it’s probably best if you read the remainder of the fight while listening to some track from Two Steps From Hell, who are hard to beat when it comes to god damned epic music. Actually, listening to some good Two Steps From Hell tracks makes stuff like shopping for groceries feel a lot more life and death. If the comic was movie or tv show, I’d definitely use that gag. I do have some “audio required” jokes that I’m saving for the movie version. :)
Drawing a 50 person battle royale for my first fight was daunting, but this was a big part of the reason for it. I knew Vehemence would settle for nothing less, and now the team has unwittingly powered him up to the point that he’s capable of trading blows with Maxima. In fact actually trading those blows was quite helpful to him. Like a succubus, it’s good to be near the action, but much better to be directly involved.
As villains go, I think Vehemence’s powers are pretty original, at least to my knowledge. It’s a good part of the reason why genre savvy Sydney didn’t peg him before he gave it away. After I thought him up, I was able to come up with a few other antagonists with similar abilities though. Certainly a few entities from Star Trek fed on conflict or anger. War, from the Incarnations of Immortality books owed his godhood to ongoing wars, and Ares from DC comics is powered by conflict, but I think making it akin to tantric magic is more or less unique, so I’m pretty proud of him. It also makes me think of what other abilities could be derived from a normally intangible source of energy. An angel powered by charity? An Avaristic user, powered by wealth and greed? Straight up good or evil? There’s a lot of potential there, something I’ll probably explore a bit more in the Grrl-verse. :)
Boy that last panel took a lot of work, and I’m sure it’s missing many a scorch mark and crack. I know panels prior to this haven’t really shown the cumulative damage very well, and if I have some time I’d like to go back and fix that, but like I’ve said before, drawing rubble is quite tedious. I also would have liked to have shown everyone laying unconscious where they fell for maximum effect, but I already established that Harem and Sydney were carrying them from the field of battle and sedating them. There should be more flaming bits of Shawn’s car scattered everywhere and stuff like that, but I basically worked on the panel until I ran out of time and had to start coloring. Still, I think it carries the impact I wanted pretty well.
Here’s the link to the new comments highlighter for chrome which I can’t live without anymore, and the GitHub link which you can use to install on FireFox via Greasemonkey.
To quote myself from Monday: “Unless he evolves or powers up through combat and he was just using the team as a sparring partner until he became too powerful to stop there is no way he can put a positive spin on this fight.”
Yep. It’s not like it was obvious but nothing else really made sense.
Being genre savvy would have helped Sidney but she was too focused on the fighting I guess. You never just give a villain what he wants. He said “I’m just pro-violence, and I’m here to beat the hell out of you.” At this point they should have denied him the fight. Ok, easy to say in hindsight, I admit. When Dabbler attacked and he knew exactly what she was doing and was familiar with magic, that was the next red flag.
The question now is… how long can he keep that power? Can it be drained somehow?
Maybe one of annoying secret orbs can drain him? Hmmmm
Oddly. I think Sydney is the only one that could possibly do something? Pretty much of all of her uses during this except the first one she took down with a punch. Were a case of “I wonder if this will work” instead of an act of violence.
That’s assuming his powers respond to intent attacks.
They couldn’t actually deny him the fight though.
At that point he was already strong enough to attack them on his own, so they HAD to defend themselves
The closest thing I’ve seen to this is the Brute archetype passive “Fury” from City of Villains (may we rise again). In fact, it’s pretty dead on: landing blows or taking them increased a logarithmic damage multiplier that capped out at 800% (which you had to be swarmed to reach, I could only maintain about 350% through dishing it out). I can’t say I’ve ever seen it employed outside of being a game mechanic that I can recall though.
Doubt that the CoH IP will rise again, but there is a spiritual successor in the works, Valiance Online.
Several, actually. Check out https://cityoftitans.com/ ^_^
Some thoughts:
Despite his power source, V has shown restraint. He didn’t have to call for a medic for Vektor. His thought about Halo definitely shows he could be a lot worse.
OK, so big V has powered up enough to go toe-to-toe with Maxima. And fighting him just powers him up more. So containing him is going to be difficult. That is the short term. In the long term, he has still (temporarily?) lost an eye and two teeth and taken other damage. And his powerups probably bleed away slowly when he is not in combat. So long term he is going to be like a boxer or other fighter – good for a few years but eventually the cumulative permanent damage will sideline him.
Does he have a Dabbler-like power to induce the emotion that he feeds on? That would get nasty quickly and explain the multi-super attack that happened here.
Well he still has maners.
I doubt he’s even going to actually kill anyone. Just knock Maxima around, declare himself the winner, and leave.
Vehemence is probably going to be Maxima’s arch nemisis, a line through the future story
I guess he can be deafeated with the power of love! [cue Hewey Lewis and the News]
PS. Damn you kids who do not get the band reference.
he’ll definitely NEED a new drug after this fight… all the pain that he is blocking from feeling, right now, due to the power he’s absorbed already, will come back all at once when the power he has now goes away…
Quick! Everyone join hands and start singing Kumbaya!
Well I can’t think up anything to add and haven’t got anywhere else to go so I guess you’re stuck with me … ¦ )
Don’t worry, there are lots of fogeys reading this comic.
Nah, she’d love to love him, baby *cue Donna Summer*…yeah, THAT song..
Get off my lawn!
<old fogey>
Or “The Power of Love” by Frankie Goes To Hollywood …

<young at heart>
… and Gabrielle Aplin!

… and in my haste I forgot to say:
First-time commenter, and thanks for the great comic, DaveB!
sling him into the ocean, by the time he swims back, he should be low enough on power that even sydney can contain him with few issues….then she can use her greatest weapon on him….and make his ears bleed
Cole Tyger,
Except he would probably be like Godzilla and destroy everything around him on land when he gets out of the water while he walks back to them. This would force Archon to come to him again for containment, this time most likely in a heavily populated civilian area. So, not the best choice.
Unless he attacks the ocean with each stroke, vehemently
…Or he has to fight off a shark attack on the way to shore…
He’s Cheating! Like even more then the last guy!. Having the power to counter anything is one thing but when your power specifically makes it so punching people in the face AND getting punched in the face makes you powerful with no limit in site….. Then he’s clearly cheating! What are they supposed to do? Surround him with an infinite amount of kittens and hope he calms down to the point of losing strength?
1. Either use enough power immediately to kill or cripple him(you don’t see his wounds regenerating, do you?)
2. Avoid him until his energy slips away(I’m assuming he can’t store this amount permanently)
You know, how about a non-violent subduing? there’s several martial arts made to deflect and subdue without causing harm in which you need to be calm and focused.
Pretty much the opposite of what violence is.
Nah, he’s to strong for that now
You would have to be strong enough to survive his blows to deflect them, and there is only one person they could use for that, the girls better start digging!
So… Sydney dropped her shield for quite a long time there.
By accident? Can’t see it before the last frame.
Previously established that the shield is pretty air-tight and she needs to drop it when not under attack in order to breathe for more than a few minutes. This pretty much establishes that one of the unknown orbs replenishes her air supply.
Wait, WHAT?
Established early on in battle out in the parking lot, by Maxima talking to Sydney. The shield blocks everything from entering. Air included
Like wilder125 wrote, the shield is airtight. But it has not been established that one of the unknown orbs replenishes air. That part is just a guess that Opus threw in there.
A possible way around that air-limitation would be if Sydney can make a force wall instead of an aura0type shield…Or maybe even form the aura shield with a hole in the back, away from any incoming attacks.
That would be assuming she has the level of *control* to do it…That may even be one of the “level-ups” in her skill-tree yet.
I’d say this would be an ideal time for Sydney to learn to cast the shield around something else. That and the lack of fresh air in the thing would eventually cause Vehm to become unconscious. Yay two-fer! That or maybe a tentacle hug. Neither of which are violent. Even though its bending genres there was a cool power in Narato that would defeat Vehm as well. One of the leaf ninja students could control people by linking to their shadow. then they would mimic whatever the ninja was doing. It would be time for a time out.
Dabbler could turn the dial to 14 as well. Its hard to be lusting and angry at the same time.
“Its hard to be lusting and angry at the same time.” which is why Googling “angry sex” only comes up with a hundred million or so hits?
Intense emotions are not mutually exclusive – it’s a lot harder to be angry and mildly interested at the same time
Vehemence doesn’t have to be angry, he feeds on violence after all. But that’s not much better in this case. A quick google search will confirm that…
“Lustful Vehemence” already has a term under the law…Rape. If Dave wants to keep the NSFW rating off his comic, then Dabbler WON’T be trying her Lust Aura against him…
They aren’t synonyms… but the overlap portion of the venn diagram of ‘lustful vehemence’ and ‘rape’ is far too large to say you’re wrong.
Mostly it’s that the definition of rape focuses less on the perpetrator’s emotions, and more on the perpetrator’s actions.
Actually the most important aspect is the “victim’s” desires. If they are willing then it is not rape. Even with identical behaviour and emotions on the “perpetrator’s” part, in two otherwise similar scenarios.
In this case if Dabbler wanted intercourse (which would presumably be the reason for using the power) then it would not be rape.
If there was significant violence involved though, then that may well break laws dependant on what those of the local jurisdiction. Many such do not permit lasting harm to be inflicted even with mutual consent. This would not be classed as rape mind, as that aspect was consensual. But, if applicable, there would be a charge along the lines of “inflicting grievous bodily harm”.
So, oddly enough, in the situation proposed it would be Dabbler who is culpable, having used mind/emotion control powers on Vehemence. He would have a strong defence that he was not in control of his own faculties as a result.
But, all in all, it would require a much higher rating than the comic presently uses. Not to mention only appealing to a restricted segment of the population.
(They probably will read it whilst chained up).
Welp, I was totally off on the powers he has, but its looking more and more like he Does have magic-related training, since he apparently knows the mystical terms for the type of energy he has (as opposed to just calling it hulkamania or whatever). Plus he has apparently heard about the Aetheon Throne or is simply mentioning it from overhearing dabbler earlier.
Still, my money’s on him being trained in magic, knowledge at least though if he’s innately able to use a kind of energy like a succubus uses theirs, there’s no reason to rule out his ability to do more conventional spellcasting. Not that he needs it at this point, Should be interesting to see how this goes!
I reiterate my earlier plan of Sydney simply holding him above the ground so he can’t get any leverage until he runs out of power and/or passes out.
she should totaly study bondage and use her light hook to tie poeple up in bondage so they cant move/use theyr strenght/etc
I’m sure Dabbler would be more than capable and willing to provide instruction. She does go to certain kinds of parties after all!
Considering that Syd’s Lighthook is effectively the same as using a rope, maybe she should learn Marlinspikemanship. Technically, that’s the name of the skill of rope-use as practiced by sailors & Boy Scouts.
Marlinespikemanship is a good start, but Shibari is more relevant when you might have to keep someone subdued for a long time and need to avoid damage.
Yeah, those orientals always knew how to have a good time…
Didn’t see this one coming at all. But it feels like every other hero just gets stronger by being beaten. I know it’s not true, but maybe it’s because they have been depicted in quick succession: Death Toll, Anvil and now Vehemence. I know it’s technically not the same, but practically you don’t punch them hard and they don’t get stronger.
Anyway, I’m looking forward to how they’ll best him now. I guess Dabbler could probably easily incapacitate him with some “tantric magic”?
I would surely love to see a Super Gandhi fly by and solve this by some passive resistance. :D
so he is a hulk type liker i tought,, only fuled by violence rather then anger,,
Nice foreshadowing with Dabbler’s color changes earlier in the battle – should have made that connection already.
I guess the team is going to have to pull it together. If only they could find his…Achilles heel.
You’re missing the sunglasses and the “YEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAH” sound.
*heh* yes. Hard to put that in a comment, but that’s exactly what I was thinking.
*whistles innocently*
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mznsEcZlM2I
well done sir.
Like my avatar, I’m female, but thanks all the same. :)
Here’s another way to do that:
( •_•)
( •_•)~⌐■-■
(⌐■_■)
Yeee-aah!
quick, have Achilles hug him!
Achilles is only 1.5 times as strong as a human. To Vehemence, Achilles is nothing more than an indestructible bouncing ball.
If only Death Toll wasn’t on his side. Anvil’s really the only one who can really do anything to him at this point, unless Harem has a power stunt she can pull off. Halo can tank with her shield, and if she goes for the feet might be able to hoist Vehemence up, otherwise grabbing won’t work as he was able to drag her along while she tried to hold him with Lighthook before he was supercharged. Hopefully he has a pretty good healer/healing abilities as otherwise that eye is gone. Being blind in an eye would totally mess with his depth perception and vision and would prove to be a weakness.
Honestly, I feel the best thing for Vehemence to do is take his energy and go home for a while. Set up more brawls later on to keep absorbing energy. He doesn’t have a whole lot left to gain goading them, as he basically showed that just attacking everyone may not turn out as well as they thought, they have a valid excuse not going after him (taking care of the injured/current suspects), and is in a good position to become a recurring villain, as how do you truly take down a guy who is powered by your punches?
Since he can’t fly and Max can, and she can hit him hard enough to give him air time, and she can do it so fast that he can’t stop her, Max should knock him into orbit. No air. Problem solved.
why not take his other eye?
Le Ouch! Talk about pouring fuel on the fire.
Sort of like tossing lit matches into a nuclear reactor until it builds up to critical mass…
That… might take a while…
Trying to find out if Vehemence has a limit on how much power he can absorb could take quite a while too…to the detriment of the city & civilian population.
Soo… this guy has a summer home in NYC and winters in LA?
gotcha.
The dramatic build-up in this page and before is very well done. But if I might make a suggestion I would swap the use of “vehemic” and “vistric” in this page. Maybe it’s just me but I know precisely what vehemence means (though using it as the villain’s name was not a hint for me. “Violence” is a pretty good name for a physical strength based super-villain), instead I have never heard the word “vistric” in my life. It makes sense for Dabber to be slow on the uptake because she’s an alien, but I would expect at least one of the rest of the crew to see what’s up (at the very least Zephan should be screaming in their ear coms. Occult expert must know Latin)
As I said, maybe it’s just me, my Italian origins and knowledge of Latin, but I went “oh crap” at panel 3 and kept yeling “violence!” at the screen for the rest of the page.
Upon second thought I’m thinking “vistric” may also be from Latin, “vis” meaning strength. Still, vis- is a much less recognisable root than vehe-.
Oh you also forgot Dabbler’s xxxx on the choker in panels 4 and 6.
And before I sound like too much of a nitpicker, I’m really intrigued about aetheon thrones now…
Yeah, I went through a few options for his power. I was trying to follow the same line of reasoning says if sex = tantra, then violence = ? but sex = tantra is not an easy leap to make. In the end I want with the word that sounded better to me, and even cheated a bit, cause it’s not like “tric” is a suffix that means “absorbs power from” it’s just the end of the word Tantric. But… well, now it is a suffix that means that. I’m declaring it. :)
I thought the audience not knowing it was part of the joke.
*big reveal*
everyone: “what?”
“tric” would rather, in those uses, mean simply “Power/Energy”, or maybe to avoid the DoRD, “Stemming from”- so Tantric Energy is “Energy stemming from Sex” and Vistric Energy is “Energy stemming from Violence/Strength”.
I think it would be interesting if you actually did make that an in-universe bit of terminology- who knows, it might catch on in the wider world of Superheroing, like Brick or Blaster.
What else would there be… Somntric energy, derived from sleepyness? Calling heat energy Thermtric?
Whatever thought processes you used to come up with V as he is, I’d say your final result is “just right.”
What does the “vis” come from, though?
Question: Did Vehemence point out “For Whom The Bell Tolls” to Sydney just because he wanted more violence to occur before his reveal… or perhaps the angry muppet’s power of “Nemesis” might have actually been able to cancel out V’s vehemic power, and thus why he wanted him out of the picture?
Well he wouldn’t have stepped into the picture anyway until all others were out.
They would have attacked FWTDT eventually. Or not, he’s harmless as long as you don’t attack him, so Vehemence could have just as easely ignored him during his own fight, if he was still up
Wow, I would love to see panel 6 as a HD wallpaper, *Hint**Hint* Dave.
Well it’s not the right aspect ratio, but here’s a large shot of it for you to do with as you please.
https://www.grrlpowercomic.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/11/presenting_dabbler.jpg
Holy frack, that panel is detailed. Is the whole thing that detailed, just shrunk down for web publication?
And on a different note, the alt text on that panel could be “And may I present Dabbler’s right breast? [lift]”
https://imgur.com/r/sloths/6D5qqBp
Actually, I think BOTH of Dabbler’s are nice…
I do that when arting too. Its easier to have fine-detailed control when working large. For example, I can ‘draw’ with a mouse because the shakiness appears smooth when shrunk down. Flaws only perceptible at high zoom become imperceptible at regular zoom. Scale creates leeway.
I just had to do this…May DaveB have mercy upon my soul…

Ok it’s official, after Sydney, V is my favorite character.
He’s a prick, but an inteligent prick with a great sense of humor.
Top notch Dave, top notch!
I think I could respect Vehemence more than I do for Dr. Doom now. Victor just doesn’t have a sense of humor…About anything.
I thought of one! In the DCAU Hephaestus creates, at Ares’ request, what is essentially a golem that feeds on violence and aggression. It’s got an intentionally in-built weakness though, because Hephaestus says “no one should be all-powerful…except for Zeus”. The golem apparently shuts down the moment anyone chooses NOT to fight it, so of course it’s stopped by Dove of Hawk&Dove.
Later on it gets possessed by the soul of Felix Faust, and seems to loose both it’s weakness, but also it’s ability to get stronger when you beat on it.
Lung from the webserial Parahumans: Worm get his powers from fighting
Well actually he get more power WHEN fighting and gets more and more dragon-y, hence the name. once when he got in a super big fight he went full humanoid abomination on everyone.
I think it’s slightly different with Lung, considering what happened at the end of that one Endbringer fight- I think he feeds off of Awe- so the more people watching, and impressed/frightened of him, the stronger he gets.
But didn’t he only manage to reach maximum power when everyone else was dead/incapacitated? Or maybe I’m just forgetting a bit where he inner monologues that fact.
Nah, you’ve got it right. Lung enjoys people being awed of him, but his *power* grows from conflict.
Of course, unlike Vehemence, his power makes him more and more inhuman as he gains power. Also unlike Vehemence, he gains power from the ANTICIPATION of conflict as well.
Yesssssss… feed my ego, as a palic energy user you only hasten the moment I become so powerful as to TAKE OVER THE WORLD!!!1!!.
(you get a cookie if you can find the Wikipedia article I shamelessly ripped the term from)
I knew that he was getting stronger as the fight moved on. I noticed first when after getting foot stomped (then a kinetic stomp to the head). But I thought it was either a version ofhttps://powerlisting.wikia.com/wiki/Pain_Empowerment orhttps://powerlisting.wikia.com/wiki/Danger_Empowerment. A violence version of a tantric eater is so much better.
I can’t wait to see what happens next. This villain the author can’t kill off. He’s the most interesting, potential recurring main villain to challenge the team every now and then. That and his rarity makes him super interesting.
I have to agree with you there…I’m seriously considering a write-up for Vehemence as a villain for GURPS Supers.
What’s GURPS Supers?
It’s a supplement to a pen and paper role playing system called GURPS.
See: https://www.sjgames.com/gurps/books/supers/
Ahh GURPS, I love that game.
With Archon as depicted the way Dave has set it up, Vehemence works *very* well in a Supers: IST campaign. The single most major difference is that the International Super Teams are under the United Nations, whereas Archon is only under the US Government.
Indeed, I think this is a good place to formally announce that I endorse Vehemence as a candidate for the Tyson award: https://knowyourmeme.com/memes/neil-degrasse-tyson-reaction
My question is, is there any news people still around (I would think so).
Yes, Suzie is in a carpark 2 states over with Ari
SO he’s an Incubus that feeds on Violence? Interesting. I wonder if he’s from the same type of area as Dabbler.
That, and if her battle form freaks out Halo, imagine what his battle form must look like, and how freaked out she’d be.
Perhaps her ADD tendency to lash out might trigger a response to assist…because I am sure it can’t have gone away in mere hours.
Just my 2cp.
DaveB, this page is phenomenal! Shows the dust settling, and just how much has happened. Loving the last panel with the reveal of it all.
Well this is Dabblers true form. Any time you see her with only two arms and looking kind of human she is using a glamor, a kind of illusion, to mask her form. Sydney can see through most, if not all, illusions and glamors using the badger ball, which she used when talking with Vehemence earlier. The badger ball has a weakness in that her projection apparently doesn’t have true sight.
Given the circumstances I think it’s unlikely that Vehemence is using a glamor or illusion to mask himself. It’s still possible that Sydney never looked at him while holding the badger ball, or he could be using a shape shift power or spell, but my personal guess is that this is his natural form.
She has called her true form her “battle form”, hence my stating it that way.
I agree…That last panel adds a lot of emphasis to the one-word spoken in it. Even if you say you didn’t get as much detail in it as you wanted, it’s still *very* effective.
Priority target: V’s other eye.
Once they damage it, he’s blind. Dabbler casts some sort of sound suppressing spell, so there are no sounds to orient himself with. Maxima boosts speed/flying, grabs V, and spins him to further disorient. Halo enlarges her shield, adds the flight ball, and plays interceptor before he reaches anything he can harm. Maintain until V’s exhausted all his energy.
I also like the throw him into orbit, or drop him in the middle of the ocean possibilities, but an orbital punch would be VERY violent, and physically transporting him anywhere would be a nightmare even for Maxima, I think.
I’ve just realised what are this guy’s motivations? What does he actually want/get out of this?
He’s powered by violence. This is an all you can eat buffet!
So he’s related to the Hulk?
As a first-time commenter I just have to wonder why no one’s asked why does Halo appear to have EIGHT spheres in panel four above her head?
The 8th is her pony tail.
It is the one in the middle of her head.
Quick someone call FUSION and have them make another plate for Sydney and have Harem pick it up and bring it to the fight.
That would be a sure way to defeat V.
Plus Sydney would finally get a full meal.
Better idea
Sick the SQUIRREL on him
….. shoot the other eye and just let him blindly rage till he’s done?
Oh shi…
Or is dabbler just gonna cast her seduce spell, and end it?
Uh, so we hug him and he loses all his power?
Thing is, if Vehemence does succeed in beating the heroes to a pulp, he runs out of sources of super-violence to feed on. His power is inherently parasitical. Which actually makes me feel kind of sorry for him, because his only chance to really shine is when someone unwittingly powers him up.
I mean, true, he could go on a rampage through town, but I rather doubt that regular law enforcement or the military would put much of a dent in him at this point, let alone offer the same kind of power-up that he can get from going toe-to-toe with Maxima for a few rounds.
Which leads me to wonder… why is Vehemence a villain anyway? What’s his story? If he were a hero, he’d get his share of violence on a regular basis, since joining the good guys is (as evidenced by the battle) basically like having a neon sign over your head which says ‘Come Fight Me!’
My guess is that maybe he was at some point but couldn’t play well with others and/or restrain his violent tendencies enough to fit in. So now he’s a solo act, showing up whenever he catches a whiff of some action. Must be a dull existence, waiting for the next big rumble.
Yea, he’s probably going to stay the main villain through the coming story lines.
And that’s probably why he’s here aswel. He never really got to flex his muscles. He finally saw a chance for some exitement
Yeah, with his attitude he’d be considered a “loose cannon” & rejected for membership in ARCSwat anyway. He wouldn’t be fighting with any intention to *end* the fight as quickly as possible, which is the main purpose for *having* ARCSwat. V is at least smart enough to realize this before even trying to apply for the job.
He probably “earns his living” as the chief leg-breaker for a loan shark, I’d guess.
second though: want to beat him? keep placing achilles near him.. invul and he can just remain passive.
just where did Achilles go again?
and maxima can of course just fetch achilles all the time and put him back
He is under the Steak House
thanks :)
A better idea is to have max use Achilles as a shield, she holds onto him so he doesn’t go flying and remains as defensive as possible while vehemence pounds away his stored energy. All the while Achilles will be yelling “stop it tickles”.
You know, that just might works…The more it tickles Achilles, the more likely it’ll eventually defuse Vehemence. Laughter may be just what’s needed here, because it can reduce violent tendencies by making light of them.
I recycle one of my suggestions from the DT fight and say go with dousing him with a tanker truck full of liquid nitrogen. It should bleed off some of his energy without technically being a violent act.
Option two: replace the liquid nitrogen in the tank with the positive pink slime from Ghostbusters II.
Option three: bring in the tranquilizer darts or nerve gas.
Which sets up next week’s comic:
V has Max by the throat and is choking her.
Max can’t speak and is gesturing to Sydney.
Sydney: “What’s that? Sounds like ‘give’? Give him the….?”
Sedagive?

… finding out too late:
The Drugs Don’t Work – The Verve
I’m just surprised that no one has commented on the fact that it looks like Halo is copping a feel of Dabbler in panel 6 lol
I don’t suppose he’s going to use his increased power to change the world for the better?
That depends on how you define “better”, or maybe who defines it. ;)
